Have I confined hope?
Have I strangled
The roots, growing,
The leaves, sprung?

Have I killed hope?
Have I conquered
The strongholds of,
A hope, alive?
A dream, so bright?

Have I, finally, transcended?
To a human, beyond?
A horizon, yonder?
To annihilate and disrupt,
The world of order?

Or have I begrudgingly defeated,
The realm of hopes
And dreams,
For the reign of the ordeals?
